PiP brings the birdhouse experience to your living room. PiP is an Arduino powered module that ensures that you do not miss a single phase of a bird's life.

The idea behind PiP is that you adopt a bird that has nestled in a nearby forest. You can then follow this bird for a whole season with its actions. The follow-up is done by a module, remote link, that you place at home and an application for the smartphone.

Via a remote link, PiP shows the different stages of the breeding ritual of a bird, starting from laying the egg over breeding, breaking the egg, hatching the egg and finally leaving the nest. Through the corresponding application and webcam, you can always look inside the birdhouse.

The module is rented, its appearance depends on which bird you chose to follow up. In this case, we opted to follow an owl. Upon leaving the nest, the module is returned to the depot. Another module can be rented the following breeding season.
